Sugata and Koltiva Bring Traceable Indonesian Cocoa to CAAICC 2026

Singapore, 2-3 September 2026 – Sugata is proud to announce its participation in the SCAA International Cocoa Conference, Exhibition & Gala Dinner (CAAICC 2026) at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. We will showcase how careful fermentation, quality-focused sourcing and farm-level digital traceability help Indonesian cocoa reach higher-value markets.

The annual CAA conference brings together farmers, traders, chocolate manufacturers, brands, sustainability leaders, and technology providers from across the global cocoa value chain under the 2026 theme, "Good Together: Building an Agile Cocoa Future."

At the Sugata × Koltiva booth, visitors can taste chocolate products made by our customers and partners using cocoa sourced through Sugata's Indonesian supply chain. The tasting brings together the craft of the chocolate maker with the work at origin that shapes cocoa quality and flavour.

But the experience does not stop with the finished product.

Through demonstrations and product showcases, visitors can explore where the cocoa came from, who produced it and how fermentation contributes to its quality. KoltiTrace MIS connects our showcased chocolate with information about its origin, helping buyers and chocolate makers better understand the people and processes behind it.

Award-Winning Quality from Indonesian Origins

Sugata works directly with cocoa-producing communities across Aceh Tenggara and South Sulawesi, supporting farmers through transparent sourcing relationships, fermentation expertise, and long-term market access.

In 2026, Sugata's cocoa from Aceh Tenggara was awarded a Gold Award at the Cacao of Excellence Awards, a recognition of the exceptional quality that Indonesian cocoa can achieve when farmers, fermentation specialists, and supply chain partners work together toward a common goal.

The chocolate products featured at CAAICC demonstrate how investment in quality at origin ultimately translates into distinctive flavour profiles and premium chocolate experiences for consumers around the world.

From Bulk Supply to Origin-Based Value

Indonesian cocoa has an opportunity to capture more value through stronger recognition of origin, flavour and producer effort. Fermentation, traceability and direct buyer relationships are important parts of making that shift. For Sugata, the goal is to ensure that greater recognition of Indonesian cocoa translates into stronger market access and better value for producers.

As part of CAAICC, Sugata will contribute to the Swisscontact-organised masterclass "From Bulk Supply to Origin-Based Value: The Future of Indonesian Cocoa”. Drawing on lessons from landscape development initiatives in Aceh Tenggara, the session will examine how farmer partnerships, fermentation, traceability, and market access can create build a stronger origin-based value for proposition for Indonesian cocoa, creating value for both producers and buyers.

Can Cocoa Truly Go Green?

Koltiva will participate in the panel discussion "Can Cocoa Truly Go Green?", to discuss climate-smart agriculture, deforestation-free sourcing and carbon-conscious supply chains.

Sugata and Koltiva are independent companies working in partnership, bringing complementary capabilities to this challenge. Sugata leads cocoa sourcing, fermentation and origin development, while Koltiva provides traceability and supply chain technology

At the exhibition booth, visitors can see how these capabilities work together in practice. KoltiTrace MIS connects cocoa purchases with producer files, farm locations, transaction records and relevant sustainability data, providing greater visibility.
